EAGLES-EAGLES-(and more eagles!)
Eagles are birds of wonder and never fail to attract a crowd when they are "performing" for the audience. Their antics in the air and in the nest bring people together from all walks of life. The curious ask many questions about them and the informed are more than willing to share their
knowledge.
When they pick a mate its is usually for life and when they build a nest they return to it every year, adding more and more sticks and grass to an ever expanding structure which they defend rigorously from other eagles and raptors who are bent on taking over their quarters. Such raids are rarely successful. The eagle is a powerful bird, at the top of the food chain. A grown one can top three feet in height, with a seven foot wing span, with talons the size of a man's fingers. Enjoy the pics.
